Photograph frames make really great baby shower gifts as they are both useful and help hold a memory in a more visual way. When the child is born the new Mom can make use of the picture frame as a reminder of the party that she held, and then as a marker of the next step as the child enters the world. As with photo frames in general there are many different makes, designs, sizes and shapes to choose from. You could get a plain photo frame, or a more "baby specific" one = for example decorated with pictures suitable for nurseries or in "baby colors" such as pastel blue, pastel pink, pale green or pale yellow.
If you really wanted to make the occasion special you could choose to get a baby shower picture frame customized with wording or peripheral pictures. If you are feeling particularly generous you could even go for a photo frame made from precious metals such as gold or silver.
Baby shower gift ideas - First teddy bear
The first teddy bear is always very important to every mother and child - no doubt you'll still remember your own from when you were a child, and maybe you even still have it stored safely away somewhere. The first teddy bear is a lovely way to show how much you care about the imminent birth of the newborn child. However, this sort of gift is usually reserved for those who are very close to the Mom to be, and if you do not know her very well it may be best to let another baby shower guest get this gift for her.

Another good idea for a baby shower gift is to get a photo album for the Mom to be. This will mean that the album can be filled with happy memories as the pregnancy progresses, and as a sweet method of recording the first few months and years of the new infants life. Usually baby photo albums can be bought from most good stores, but you could get one printed and designed as a "one off" specifically for the Mom to be. If you are artistic and good at making things you could even design the photo album yourself as a touching thought of how much you care about the new arrival.
