Baby Shower Favors

A baby shower favor is basically a method of having a great time made more memorable by something to keep forever. The memory of your celebration will be triggered every time the baby shower favor is looked at. Here are some ideas to use as a starting point – but remember this is a very personal choice, and you could even take the time to hand make or adapt various items of you so wish.
- Candles
As you know candles come in many different shapes sizes and colors. You can also think about candle holders, or a combination of the two. You could go for frosted glass, use ribbons, photographs, porcelain shapes, or customize them with wording, lettering or initials.
- Ceramic mugs, magnets and models
For a baby shower favor with a more specific purpose you could choose to get ceramic merchandise. These can either be purchased in sets, or you can arrange to get a specific design printed or embellished upon the baby shower favor.
- Personalized pens and cutlery
These days it is very cheap and easy to get things engraved. The expense will increase along with the quality of the item itself – the more precious the metal involved within the manufacture of a pen, the more costly it will be. Again, a good starting place is to count up how many guests you are planning to invite to your baby shower, and do the math.
- Frames and card holders
Another popular idea for baby shower favors are photo frames. You could choose to either simply get blank picture frames, or to lay them all out with your own choice of a photograph. You could even provide the picture frames, lay out cameras, and invite your guests to take photos of the baby shower itself... they can then choose their favorite photo to put into the frame when the party is over. Card holders can be used especially well if you are having place settings at the celebration. Card holders are both useful at the time of the gathering, and are also a really nice memento of the baby shower after the event.
- Chocolate and cookies
Everybody likes chocolate at a party, no matter how old or young they are. You could buy quality chocolates and wrap them up in bags with ribbons, or you could be even more creative. If you are feeling particularly inspired you could even make your own moulds, carefully melt some high quality chocolate, and carefully pour it into the mould - personalized, and fun all wrapped up into one.
